TOP INTERNATIONAL AWARD GOES TO GOANNA PRINT |
|

Goanna Print has once more brought home a special
award on behalf of the local printing community by winning the Gold Medal in the
general printing division of the prestigious 'Sappi Printer of the Year' Australasian
Region, and will now represent Australasia at the global award competition.
The Sappi Printer of the Year Awards are an annual event. Regions currently participating
in the competition are Africa, Europe, North America and Trading (Trading represents
Asia, Australasia, Central and South America). The judging of the Sappi Printer of
the Year Awards is carefully structured to ensure the highest possible standards,
coupled with a balanced perspective.
|
This is the only time a Canberra company has won such
an award, and the second time Goanna Print has been recognised with an international
print award. The award was presented for the ZOO Corporate Brochure, and was judged
on degree of difficulty, technical excellence, overall impact and finishing quality.
"I am ecstatic!", said CEO Garry Taylor, "This award is a credit to all at Goanna
Print. The most rewarding
thing is to be acknowledged for our philosophy of going the extra yards to give our
clients more than they expected".
Director, Phil Abbott, says that Goanna Print's secret ingredient is passion.
Right from day one, Goanna has lived out it's creed "We aim for Excellence". The
commitment of our staff to their trades and their clients has been sensational. We
have invested heavily in modern technology to stay abreast of current developments,
but at the end of the day, it is still a matter of putting ink on paper and technological
advances are tools to aid the craftsmen in achieving this. Quality is still paramount
and success requires constant self-challenge and attention to detail. We are a fine
quality printer and we feel a responsibility to maintain traditional craftsman's
standards to ensure the subtle and important contact between artist, printer and
client.
Director and Sales Manager, Graham Paxton, is grateful for this recognition and feels
that this award and others, including many Australian National Printing Awards are
confirmation that Goanna's reputation for quality, reliability and value for money
are a winning combination for the company.
Directors Garry Taylor, Phil Abbott and Graham Paxton are available for interview
on (02) 6239 1208.
